Title: Travellers Camp
Post by: EllaWallace on Monday 02 May 16 12:56 BST (UK)
Hi,

Just wondered if anyone may know anything about a travellers encampment that was on Northhill Road, Laurencekirk. My Grandmother was born there in 1927 but can't seem to find any information regarding it.

Thank you  :)

There might not have been any "official encampment", certainly in the villages around the one I was brought up in the travellers simply set up camp in roughly the same location each year.

These locations were known to the villagers and the travellers but there was no official designation as an encampment.

Cheers
Guy

Thanks Guy. That's disappointing but understandable was holding out a little hope due to full address being there.

Thank again.
