I think Wepre is near Connahs Quay, Flintshire so I wonder if in 1891 he is listed as John Jones 52 b Connahs Quay, Flintshire,  working the Master on a boat Victor in Falmouth Harbour

Thank you very much Kay & JJ

I'm sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner I've been visiting my Daughter & new Granddaughter
for a few days  :)

I think it could be John in Falmouth Harbour Kay as Wepre is a part of Connah's Quay.

I'll have to try and get to the Archives and look for some Marriages & Baptisms.

Thank you both once again.

Paul

If I remember correctly Flintshire Record Office has an index for the crew lists from the port of Chester (including Connah's Quay etc) for the latter half of the 19th century. A description of the records themselves can be found here http://www.archiveswales.org.uk/anw/get_collection.php?inst_id=28&coll_id=2240&expand=
