Hi all,
I have a James Ribbons(Ribbans) the s/o William & Elizabeth (nee Canham) bapt. 18-5-1783 in Rushmere St.Andrew and I've been given a lead that he may have married an Mary Ann Fulcher about 1810. No idea where or when but do have children in 1819, 1821, 1825 etc.
Can anyone please help with a marriage.
I've seen some of the public trees on Anc..y that give a Mary Gant as his wife in 1813 Blakenham.
It could be there are more James Ribbans of a similar age around, but just wish to put the correct couple together.
Any help much appreciated.

I have found two marriages for a James Ribbons/Ribbans after 1812 - the one you mention 22 Nov 1813 Gt Blakenham James Ribbans (Gt Blakenham) & Mary Gaut/Gant at Gt Blakenham. Also a James Ribbons of Ipswich St Helens but he marries an Ann Chisnall in 1817 at Ipswich Ipswich St Clement.

Hi K,
Thank you very much for that info. There are numerous "Chisnall/Chisnell" baptisms in St.Clements, Ipswich and the only one that appears as a possible is Mary Ann Chisnell bapt. 10-8-1779 d/o Lionel & Mary.
In the abscence of any further info regarding a marriage to a Mary Fulcher, I think I will disregard
the details I have been given and go for either a Mary Gant or Ann Chisnell - the latter more promising
as Ipswich St.Clement is the home parish.
They are only twigs in my tree but I thought I would tidy up the entries.

Hi All,,
I'm still pursuing this marriage lookup of James Ribbons to a Mary (A) Fulcher. My reason is because James' brother Joseph, also married a "Fulcher" - Bridget Fulcher in Rushmere St.Andrews 1-1-1822
and consider there is a family link somewhere.
I've just found in F/S a bapt. for a Mary Fulcher 1788 in Letheringham d/o Nathaniel & Sarah.
Bridget also has the same parents & bapt. place as Mary above.
Can anyone look to find a suitable marriage please?

Hi all,
Just to keep you in the picture, I have recently started another thread which can be seen here;

I had forgotten about this one - don't wish R/chatters to duplicate valuable work already done.
