Hi, can anyone help me with the birth of Ellen (Nellie) Driscoll, possible middle name Margaret - father John Driscoll, born in Rosscarbery around 1875 also had a brother called Timothy. She went to England before 1897. Many thanks

I am going to presume that you have Ellen on a census or other record after 1897 that shows her father's name and her place of birth
Have you looked at the Irish Census for Rosscarberry?
In 1901 there were 28 people of the name DRISCOLL in the area
Only one John of an age to be her father (he may however also have been deceased or had moved) LINK (http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Cork/Rosscarbery/Barleyhill_East/1162360/)
There was only one person named O'DRISCOLL

I cannot immediately see a birth for Ellen but when searching look also for Eleanor, Eleanora, etc as many variations of the name were used

You may get a bit further if you post more detail about the information you've given, ..( Fathers name, potential brothers name, middle name, 1875, 1897 ) where does it come from etc? family, records, etc, including links to records or a transcription. Others may see something you haven't or take a different slant on it.
