Title: Minton family of Shardlow
Post by: g eli on Friday 27 May 16 00:53 BST (UK)
Hi! I am interested in the Minton family of Shardlow. More particularly in Mary Minton who was buried 1801 at Aston upon Trent, and Catherine Mary Minton who married Robert Hadley 9 June 1819 at Aston upon Trent. Any additional information would be welcome. Thank you Liz

Have you looked to see if anyone else is researching these people by looking at 'Surname Interests' in 'Your Tools' below?

Thank you for your suggestions.
Chempat, I hadn't thought about looking at surname interests to see if there was anyone else interested in my Mintons, I have now checked and there doesn't appear to be, although there are several Mintons. My problem is that James Minton arrives on the scene marrying Martha Sutton in 1802 I have no idea where he was born.
Sunflower, I did have the marriages but not the fact that they were by licence and I had the 1802 marriage taking place at St Peters Derby.
I think I am going to see what Derbyshire Archives can find for me. They have been very helpful in the past.
I have some tentative ideas that he lived in Newark Notts for a while which is where Eliza was born
but as yet I can't confirm this.
Thank you both again.
Liz
