Hi there all
trying to find the birth or any records of Meurig Gomer Wyn-Roberts b july 1963 wales
He unfortunlaty died in london last month and the welsh trying to find relatives of him but can not find his birth in the BMD tried all sorts of combinations any help would be good

I see from the many reports in the press (i.e. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/welshman-faces-paupers-funeral-unless-11461902 ) that he was also known as Gomer Roberts.
There is the birth of a Gomer Roberts in St Asaph RD in 1962 :-\

I have foun three possible births - FindMyPast
Meuric W Roberts Luton 1963 MMN Farquhar (will try to see a marriage after)
Meurig W Roberts Pwllheli 1960 MMN Jones
Meurig W Roberts Wrexham 1960 MMN Williams
I wouldn't discount the Luton one - we welsh travel around a lot. I would suggest that you perhaps put something up on the facebook local pages for Wrexham and Pwllheli.

M*** Farquhar married J** Roberts in Luton in 1964
There are several children from this marriage but I will not name them in case of living people but the marriage is easily found as are the children

But if you don't have a birth certificate how do you know? The person who registered the death could have made a mistake :-\

The one mentioned reply5 was showing in the same area until recently. There is also one who was living in Surrey early 2000's ::)

Who was the informant on the death certificate?
Are you sure that there is a hyphen after "Wyn" Many people in north wales have a middle name Wyn or variant spelling

His friends were he died last month .

Do any of his friends recall him talking about his child-hood or school years?
Could he speak Welsh?

Whilst I can't assist directly I note that there is a mention of the Welsh Guards - can their Association or Reunion sites not be able to help in the search?

His health records may contain the name of his Next of Kin.

This is doing the rounds on Facebook but someone has just posted this comment on one of the pictures
Have just found on google Wendi Lilian Ivy (nee Phllips) died peacefully on friday 14 february at Bishop's Waltham House Hampshire aged 87 following a short illness much loved mother to Bronwen and Gomer wife of the late leslie Wyn-Roberts enquirers and donations to Nigel Chamberlain and Partners.
Going to try and chase this

I checked 192.com before posting - and I couldn't trace him is he on the electoral registers ?

The leslie wyn-roberts mentioned in the above obituary was actually Leslie Meurig Wyn-Roberts this could be significant. Have also traced the daughter but will not name her because she is still living.
Cannot find a marriage or a birth for either of them; soother could be a foreign marriage and would explain no births.
The family lived all over North Wales and southern england from about 1968. Leslie died in Llandudno.

I'm his sister - I posted the death announcement of our mother - in the hope he would find me. So sad to now read this!!
