hi all
I hope some one may help me im looking for any info regarding William j downing family from llanelly I think he married Florence Elizabeth harris in 1920 if so her father was called Samuel harris and mother harriet clements . Florence was born in 5 aug 1899 Birmingham if this is the right person im looking for she is my grand dad sister his name was Thomas Frederick harris

Check the 39 index Llanelly, it has the correct birthdate for Florence E you stated and married to William so marriage you mention correct.

When was he born and where?
If you have no other info on him apart from the marriage you will need to buy a copy of the cert to get his age and fathers name
Have you looked him up on the 1911 census or the 1939 register?

I think you may be in the wrong area - the marriage was in Llanelly in Carmarthenshire

Freebmd shows the marriage was in the Llanelly RD so not Caernarvonshire - Carmarthenshire
Plenty of William J Downing births on freebmd - what was his middle name? This will be shown on his marriage cert
When and where did he die? If he died 1969 onwards his full birthdate will be on his death reg.

What was Florence's middle name and when and where did she die. No births in Carmarthenshire for Downing/Harris

Notice you mention Carmarthenshire and the 1939 register as well as buying a copy of the 1920 marriage cert
Mrs Bongo - using the advice given on your previous thread - what additional info have you found?
Using the freebmd birth reference given - you can now find a mothers maiden name using this link - registration is free if you don't already have a GRO registration
However - you first need to buy a copy of the marriage cert to get his fathers name then look for him on the 1901/1911 census to find the whole family

1901 census has them as boarders with the Burden family, but you really need the Downing/Harris marriage to confirm his father.

As previously advised. You need to look them up on the 1911 census for further information. Cas has given you the link to the 1901 entry.
Births from the September qtr 1911 show mothers maiden name so you can use freebmd to establish if further children were born after 1911

Freebmd has a number of Downing/Harris birth but not in Wales. Have you looked them up on the 1939 register?
