I'm having difficulty making sense of you post as it looks like you might have left bits out?

in the 1911 census elizabeth is down as last name reynolds, the rest as mclernon
Eliza Reynolds age 15 in grandmother's household-
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Antrim/Armoy/Armoy_Town/112385
1901- Eliza Reynolds age 5 in same household listed as great niece rather than granddaughter- also Fanny & Catherine-
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Antrim/Armoy/Ballykenver/920883

There is a Patrick & Fanney McLernon in 1911 living in Armoy but no Reynolds in the household and Fanney says married 11 years- no Elizabeth Reynolds in that household-

A 20 year old spinster Katherine McLernon of Armoy married bachelor John Mills of Knocknahinch in Ballycastle Presbyterian Church on 13 November 1919, John was a labourer (father also called John, a labourer), Katherine's father was given as Patrick McLernon, a labourer.  One of the witnesses was an Elizabeth Reynolds, the other John Stewart.

hi aghadowey and gaffy,
first of all thanks for the replys, that elizabeth reynolds is the right person as fanny had 3 children before she married and were down as reynolds, after the census they seemed to go by the name of mclernon,
gaffy ,many thanks, this i would almost bet is 1 of the family that i couldnt find, will check the marriage to confirm,
on the patrick born in 1901,if i can mind from my notes his birth was not regs till 1911 and down as patrick reynolds, very strang why so long and why he never at this stage took the mclernon name
thanks zander

Patrick Reynolds' birth registered Ballycastle 1901- since the parents were not married at the time his surname was Reynolds but he probably used the name McLernon later (whether or not Patrick McLernon was his biological father)

Hi Zander, should have some info for you here. I believe my great Grandfather is the young Patrick McLernon in this family. Catherine, I met about 15 years ago in Ballycastle. She was my "Great Auntie Kate". I'm 26 now and live in Grimsby, Work in Manchester. My Dad is Tony McLernon (58) and Late Grandad was John Patrick McLernon who died in 2010. He was the young Patrick's Son I think. Happy to join more dots and open up other family members I know if this would be helpful? I'm quite close with my second cousins on my fathers side and direct cousins and family members.
