Title: Looking for Descendants of the Newman Family
Post by: KittyCat1968 on Saturday 16 July 16 22:49 BST (UK)
Thanks to all those that have helped find my Father's Mother's Family. I am now looking for relatives from my Father's Father (My Grandfather)
My Grand Father was Stanley James Newman who married my Grand Mother Norah Annie Prince in 1937. They had 4 children Removed some years later my Grandfather Stanley Newman left my Grand Mother and started a new relationship with a lady called Mary Donnelly. They had 3 children (My Fathers half siblings) Removed. I knew that Mary and my Grandfather (I guess before he died in 1962) had lived in Rye Close in Highridge Bristol together and this is where I believe that Removed lived with their parents as children. I had visited Mary at the address in Rye Close about 20 years ago but I have discovered that house was sold in 2002 so I am assuming Mary has passed on. I am looking now then to find them so that I may know how my Grand Father was in the years that I never knew him. I have only ever seen photos of him in 1937 when my Grand Parents Married. I would love to see photos of him in his older years before he passed away and also know about his character. So if anyone out there knows of a RemovedNewman that had a Father called Stanley and a Mother called Mary, I would love to hear from them. I believe one son moved to Yorkshire.

Hi

Details of, and information about any persons who may still be alive cannot be posted on Rootschat

There is a website shown below where you can buy credits and trace living descendants that way.  From my own experience - it's cheaper to buy 100 credits for £24.95

If you haven't already done so, a good way to make surname connections with other members is to enter your surname interests in the Surname Interests Table (SIT), and to check there whether others are researching these names.

This can be found at http://surname.rootschat.com/ , there is a link to it under "Your Tools" at the bottom of each Rootschat page.

The more people who enter their surnames, the more chance there will be of making a connection!

You can use this site to search for people who have not opted out of the electroal registers

http://www.searchelectoralroll.co.uk/Electoral_Roll_Search.asp

and also

www.familysearch.org

for recent marriages if you don't have a subscription to Ancestry or FindMyPast and the years you are interested in aren't covered by freebmd.

Please remember that Rootschat is a forum for finding our ancestors not reconnecting with missing family and friends. Please don't post the names of people who are potentially still alive as these will be removed.
