James Kerr was born in Troqueer in 1889 he died in 1944. James was awarded the m.m.My great gandfather John Kerr came from Cargenbridge, he was a grocer. Do we possibly share the same family?. stoop

My my bullseye we must be related john kerr was a grocer and lived in car gen ridge. John had a number of children there was sarah jane david john and of course james not to forget hugh wallace my grandfather. My mother was jean margaret.i hope to talk some more who are you roger stoop.

The James who was awarded the MM and died 1944 was the son of James Kerr (Woollen Mill labourer) and Jane MS Stirling.
James Kerr (woolen Mill worker) and Jane Stirling are my Great Grand Parents, Jane died and James remarried a Lady called Ruth Helena Strickland and had a further son John with her.
James Kerr -- there is one of us in every generation from James Kerr Kirkbean 1771 to the present day.
