Title: Mother of Becky Alexandrovitch
Post by: timeteam on Tuesday 19 July 16 11:03 BST (UK)
I am trying to find the mother and father of Becky Alexandrovitch. Born 1924 in St george in the East.
Her mothers maiden name was Monetta. Siblings registrations have the name as Monatta, Manatta and Monhetta. What would a birth certificate give me. I also cant find the parents marriage. I have a sneaky feeling this is a jewish russian family and am so stuck
Regards
Ann

What information will I see on a birth, marriage or death certificate?

I also cant find the parents marriage.

The marriage was probably this one ...

June Quarter 1914
ALEXANDROVITCH Nathan
MOONETA Rachel
Mile End vol 1c p 723

You won't find the marriage details online.
Birth/Marriage certificates can be ordered (GBP 9.25 including worldwide postage)

A possible death from this site: http://www.jewishgen.org/jcr-uk/Cemeteries/Federation/Edmonton/index.htm

http://www.jewishgen.org/jcr-uk/Cemeteries/Federation/Edmonton/IINNAL.htm

ALEXANDROVITCH Nathan   E1286   02 May 1953   68   V1   07 14

There are others there including a Rachel and some children. Did they have twins?

The free index of the 1939 register gives a Nathan Alexandrovitch bn 1885 living in Stepney.  Also in Stepney is a Jane Alexandrovitch/Glassman bn 1916.

Thank you all so much. You have all helped me a lot and given me plenty to work on. They seem to have lost children very early and it does look like twins

Kind regards
Ann
