Did George Moger die in Tasmania 1904?

I am told that he may have emigrated to New South Wales in July 1901 aboard the Sarpedon.

The George who died in 1904 Tasmania was George Ernest Moger, son of Francis Harry Moger of Bath, England, aged 39.  Seems like it may indeed be your man.

My 4x great grandmother was Eleanor Moger, sister of George Moger, banker of Bath, the father of Francis Moger. Despite the theft of the register from their ancestral parish, and the destruction of their Somerset wills, I have been able to trace their family line back to a 1646 marriage. If you are interested in finding out more drop me a line.
