Title: Fannings from Cavan

Looking for birth records for Fanny Fanning (yeah I know what were her parents thinking).

All I have to go on is her Australian marriage cert.  She was 22 at the time of her marriage in 1865 and from Cavan Ireland.  Parents on cert, William Fanning (farmer), Jane Lowing.

Basically after the area in Cavan she was born or from.  I could be looking for a needle in a haystack but its worth asking.

Any suggestions where to look greatly appreciated.

Have you looked for other siblings in Australia? checked Australian newspapers, etc.?

Thanks for the reply.  Have just contacted this person via the link you gave. Hopefully they have some info if it's the same family member.
No luck with siblings.  But good tip re newspapers hadn't looked there. 
Will keep up the search until I get a break.

No confirmed info of religion but I've not seen any reference to Catholic in any family members I have found or know.
