Help.....
A relative has asked me to look into his line but I am struggling ???
His mother died when he was 3 and he had no contact with his mothers side since, he is now in his 60's and is trying to find any living relatives from his mothers side.
All we know is.... 'she came from Wrexham'
Mothers name Frances WALSH b c.1925 Married George STAMPER 1951 (in Manchester) Died 1958 (TB) (In Manchester)
Father on Marr Cert shown as George WALSH Master Window Cleaner
Witness on Marr Cert - J Brownhill & Fred STAMPER
STAMPER is one of my mums lines so we have all the info on that thanks ;)
From other family I know she had a MUCH younger sister we believe to be called Jean.
I therefore presumed J Brownhill to be sister Jean so looked for marriages of Walsh & Brownhill - NOTHING.
i have found a
Frances WALSH b 1923 in Bury with a mother maiden name DAVIES
Jean BROWNHILL b 1936 in Wrexham with a mother maiden name DAVIES
& a marriage in Bury in 1921 of Beatrice E DAVIES and George WALSH.....
this would mean though that Jean was only 15/16 when witness at wedding ??
I can't find anything else.... i.e. divorce WALSH - wedding WALSH/BROWNHILL or DAVIES/BROWNHILL
I have found a marriage in Wrexham of a Jean BROWNHILL & Brian CLIFTON
Struggling to tie any of this together though..... can anyone help please ?
Thanks

Have you searched for them on the 1939 register?
-
Hi
I have done a search but come up with nothing - there was one possible but its £7 to open the full details and all it mentioned was a poss Frances and Annie :-(
-
What other information does the marriage certificate give regarding Frances
-
Have you looked for an obituary for Frances in case it mentions relations :-\

Rosie,
My aunties remember Auntie Frances - and she is buried in Gorton with Uncle Georgie - the only relatives they can remember is her sister Jean and her mum but didnt know her name.
