This photograph is of a member of my family - it's been kept for years in a box with other pictures.
It is a photograph glued to a backing card. There is nothing on the reverse of the card.
I'm unsure as to who the lady is and I realise with it being a portrait there may not be much to go on , but can anyone give me a rough idea of date please? Also what age approx. would you say this lady is? I would love to be able to look at my family tree and name her.
Thanks

All I can find so far is the photographer in operation from 1898 - 1911

Thank you for that Seoras - That is actually quite a small window for the period the photographer was trading. It also helps to rule out the person my late Mum thought it was.

Hi Looby, I think the photo fits in with those dates, though that is just my opinion.
The studio was at 1111 Pollockshaws Road.

Nothing definite but I have a member of my family dressed very similar and with that same hairstyle. Mine was taken in 1907.

Thank you Thornwood :)
I did wonder if she was before or after 1900 and with the dates provided by Seoras of when the photographer was trading , I am inclined to think she is from around that date.
My late mother has written on the back that this is my paternal grandmother, who was only a child during this era . I was quite sure that it couldn't be as the photo seemed too old to be her as an adult woman.
