I am trying to find which cemetery Charles Mitchell was buried in. I have a copy of the headstone of Charles' father, who was William Mitchell. On the stone it says "their eldest son Charles died at Stirling on his way home from the East Indies, 31 March 1869, aged 27 and is interred there." This headstone is in the Eastern Cemetery in Dundee.
I had asked for help on 'Ask Scotland', and was told that they were unable to find anything in Stirling about the burial of Charles Mitchell.
Charles was born on 20 Aug 1842 in Guthrie, Forfar. If anyone can help me find him, I would be very thankful.

Probably best to contact Stirling Council, who should have any surviving records of burials in Stirling.

Hello again Forfarian,
Sorry to have taken so long to reply, but the Council in Stirling kept sending me from one department to another. So far none of them have the records for the year Charles died (1869). Anyway, I didn't get any answers to help me.
Thank you kindly for your suggestion.
Gram L.
