I am searching for a marriage for my 2nd great uncle William Clark Birth 23 MAY 1807 Petty,Inverness,Scotland He is the son of Donald Clark 1785-1853, schoolmaster at Petty, and Jane Campbell 1789-?
I know from an obituary that he arrived in 1833 and settled in London, Ontario, Canada. His wife was Christine and it seems they married shortly before coming to Canada. I have seen an Ancestry hint at a marriage to a Catherine Mackay around the right time and in the right general location but have not seen a marriage document. He passed 15 Feb 1874 in London, Middlesex, Ontario, Canada
It would add greatly to my research if anyone could provide a marriage document.
Sadly, the Canada census documents of 1841 and 1851 and 1861 are inconclusive.
Any information greatly appreciated.

I was at Scotland's Peoples Centre in Edinburgh this week and had a look at the OPR's for your enquiry. I found the following:
On 09 April 1833 at Petty, William Clark, cabinet maker, Petty St and Catherine Mackay proclaimed by the Rev Alexander Clark. (ref 106/0040)
On 11th April 1833 Then William Clark, Cabinet maker and Catherine Mackay, Inverness were married by Rev John McDonald of Urquhart. (ref 098/100)
I also had a quick look for the birth entry for William Clark b. 1807 but could not find anything.
Hope this helps.

Thanks to all for information
We have been able to piece together his life in Scotland and his time in London, Ontario, Canada.
Now we need to visit the local cemeteries and see if there is a marker remaining.

Still no success finding William or Catherine in a cemetery here in London, Ontario.
I was able to find a marker here for his mother and a sister and hope the cemetery can provide some details from their records,
I did find that one cemetery was moved to a new location and that some records for another local cemetery had been lost in a fire many years ago. Hopeful that something has survived.
