Hello:
Trying, yet again, to find the proper family of Daniel DAY (1708 NJ? -1760 NJ). He's often noted as a son of George DAY (1667 NJ - 1721 NJ) but George's will does not mention a son Daniel.
I'm hoping someone might have information on the DAY family/ies of the St Albans-area of Hertfordshire.
Any assistance, ideas, tips will be very much appreciated. Thank you!

I suppose he might not be mentioned in the will for a variety of reasons. In my family ,I have found wills to be an interesting source of who was in favour with the person leaving the estate.
There is a possibility he just wasn't left anything for whatever reason. What are your sources for thinking his father is George? Is the NJ New Jersey in this instance? I cannot see a birth or baptism in St Albans for him.

Thanks!
I believe he WAS born in New Jersey but I don't see any reason for thinking he was the son of the George I mentioned. Several different fathers have been posited for him.
At this point, I'd just like to find something on the DAY family/ies of the area but I'm having very little luck. Since I can't work back from Daniel, thought I might be able to work the families forward to the USA.

I have located a number of online trees, all of whom have Daniel as the son of George Day and Phoebe Brown. One goes back to a Nicholas Day b1620 in England, so maybe he is a possibility for St Albans.
You may have seen these trees, if not the information could be helpful within them.

Many thanks, Nooshie!
Don't think I've seen anything beyond the senior George so will have a look.
MANY thanks!
