Hi Im off to Cork City on Monday, really excited as I have never been before. I am interested in trying to find anybody else who is researching the Fordes who orginated in Ballincollig but then moved to Cork City in the early 1900s. My Great Grandmother, Ellen O'Regan appears on the 1911 census in Millerd Street with her parents John and Hannah O'Regan, sister Mary/Molly O'Sullivan aged 18. My Nan was born in Henry Street in 1916 , she would have been 100 years old next month. I know her Sister, Sheila Forde ran a pub in Patrick Street , Cork City unsure ofwhich one, would love to know where they were buried so I can pay my respects.

Hannah was consistent on the census returns 58 in 1911 and 48 in 1901
This would make her 39 in 1892 when Ellen was born
I think Hannah O'REGAN died on May 14 1937 - this death was at 32 Henry Street - LINK (https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1937/04781/4283356)
and John O'REGAN died on Aug 24 1933 - also at 32 Henry Street - LINK (https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1933/04855/4310398)

Hi Im off to Cork City on Monday, really excited as I have never been before.
Meant to say have a great trip!
Ellen was aged 18 and Mary was aged 30 - to avoid any confusion
My Nan was born in Henry Street in 1916 , she would have been 100 years old next month. I know her Sister, Sheila Forde ran a pub in Patrick Street , Cork City unsure of which one, would love to know where they were buried so I can pay my respects.

Thank you i;m so exciited, Nan left Cork when she was about 17 for England with her Sister, is there any thing I can help you with ?
One more question do you know where they are likely to be buried?
-
Unfortunately I'm not familiar with the local cemeteries in Cork

Looking for my O'Regan relatives - all we know is they were from County Cork. Our family dropped the O' in "O'Regan" at the time of my great great grandfather's marriage.
John William O'Regan, born 3/20/1857
married Mary Agnes Stubbs, 7/7/1881 (in Dublin) then left Ireland for America (Baltimore, MD)
His father is listed as John on his marriage certificate. Have no idea of John's wife's name.
Besides my great great grandfather, his siblings were Bryan, Bridget and Lawrence.
If you can shed any light, please contact me. See attachment. Researcher hinted at Wexford but was uncertain.

It's best to stick to one thread so people don't end up searching for information already found.
BTW the O dropped/added on is very common in Ireland with O and Mc names.
