The marriage is registered in the first quarter of 1855 in the Preston RD. This RD covers a number of parishes.

Hi Linda. ( I've replied to your post about Grace & Thomas Battersby.) Jane Heaps & family were at Harrington St on 1861 census. Nearby is Aughton Walk which would have been Aughton St. Not far away is Emmett St. where Grace & Thomas Battersby were in 1861 and where their friends , my 3xG grandparents, John & Dinah McLean lived in 1850s. Jane's birthplace on 1861 census was Kirkland. It was Cabus in 1851. Children's birthplace was Kirkland on '51 & Churchtown on '61. Churchtown & Kirkland are names for area around Garstang. Cabus is N. of Garstang. Members of my 3xGGM Dinah's family lived in Garstang area. Her sister married David Heaps. I don't know if he was related to Grace or any of your Heaps. It's a common name.
