Title: Can this be made clearer please.
Post by: jettejjane on Wednesday 19 October 16 17:15 BST (UK)
I think the first 2 ladies are hubbies grandma and her sister. Lily Tighe (Hancock) and Florrie Hancock. Although he is not sure.  They were twins.  Can anything be done to make them clearer please?

Picture 2 is definitely Grandma on lef and Auntie Florrie as he remember them from 1950's.  Do you think they are same ladies.

Jane, I have only just found these photos, for some reason they are appearing in Photo resources, tips and tutorials, which  is a sub section of the Free Photo Restoration  board. Your other photo about 'Ena, Martha and Minnie' is on there too which is probably why I was having problems  locating it the other day. You could ask Sarah to move it so more people will see it.
Auntie Florrie on the right does appear to be the same lady in each photo, but I'm not sure about your grandmother, the lady in the second photo seems to be a lot thinner in the face, but it is difficult to tell as they are both older.
Here is my try at cleaning the first photo.

Looking at these photos side by side, in my humble opinion, they could well be the same person years apart.

I love the kitchen photo. So evocative of the (maybe) early to mid 60's. The stool to the right of the fireplace brings back memories of school woodwork as this was a standard school project that I made too. :)
