Following on from previous post this picture made me smile. Is it Ena Sharples, Martha Longhurst and Minnie Caldwell from Corrie? No its Lily on right, Florrie in middle and Mary or Annie on left. They are from Chesterfield wonder where they are - any ideas? This and the previous 2 pics are only ones hubby has of his beloved Grandma.
I think it is a fantastic picture.

Wow,love it. There are so many details, but where is it? It is a very wide pavement,
are there tram tracks this side of the lamp posts? The man behind the three ladies is carrying a deck chair..
It could be the seaside and my guess would be Blackpool.

I agree probably the seaside, but if it is the promenade at Blackpool, wouldn't you be able to see some trace of the illuminations?

Where did the ladies live? Might be able to work out the most likely seaside resorts they would have gone to.

I mentioned in post they lived in Chesterfield ;D :P Blackpool and skeggie very possible.

Don't be silly! Your help and input is appreciated. Hope my comment didn't upset you. I put a grin and tongue in cheek. Sorry wasn't meaning anything by it. Just answering question. Think I should retire. All I do is put my foot in it in here.

I thought your faces were really funny so was trying to be funny back :D - don't worry nothing on earth would get me to retire from rootschat. I need my daily dose of detective work, good friends & humour.
I was actually embarrassed at not reading original post properly anyway - even more so as I may ;D have been slightly sharp in the past with people who don't do that.
Pleased the location was solved so quickly.

Thank god for that. I really thought I had upset you. I have backed off a lot from posting as I always seem to get it wrong with my comments. I miss it a lot, such a shame. When I do post occasionally I get very few replies. Think I am persona non gratia!
But hey ho lifes too short and I am always grateful for replies and help. And still look at all the posts longingly-would love to join in.
