Hi I'm learning how to download pics aAND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT AGE YOU THINK THIS WOMAN IS
from a phot in newpaper 1907
then compare it with a photo of my nan to see if there is any fam ressemblence bear with me while i work out how to do an attachment please

Step by step I.m learning to use my tablet but it's different skills to the computer
I love old photos so am looking forward to being able to use it

News reports says younger but to be ours she has to be 6 years older than her lover I think she relented _ gave her real name or was identified but kept womens perogative to lie about her age ...isnt there an Oscar Wilde quote
we all want to look older when teens + 5years younger after 25 men included ..?

Before reading your other thread, I looked at this one and thought that the woman was in her early 30s - certainly not 20/21!

My opinion;
Lady on left looks to have the same shape nose as lady in newspaper pic
Girl on right may have same hair parting (going by shape of hairline of lady from newspaper pic)
None seem to have same hair (lady in newspaper's hair looks curly)

No expert None have same eyes or hair to my mind nor shape of face
Could try photocopy or trace one or other at same scale as other onto overhead projection transparency and then overlay and look for differences -- primitive, tricky but similar to old police technique Someone will pipe up and tell you newer face recognition technology hopefully

First let me explain ..the woman would be her daughter at the same age not the same woman
I didnt say which of the pictured women ..because i didnt want to unduly influenc
did anyone spot a family resemblance between the 2 men ?
One is my grandad .I always thought he had a look of stan laurel About him
Last but certainly not least That photo is lovely ..softens her ..I dont think she was a criminal and her crime certainly didnt deserve 6 months hard labour
so i feel like you have vindicated her + wether she is her grandmother or not my aunt thinks she's a heroine who helped poor single mothers and childless couples all ove England and deserves a medal
I have a photo of my aunt at 17 who does have some similar traits can I post that or does it break the rules ??
...she said "ooh she looks a bit like me on a good day" she's in her 80's now as is her cousin who said the lady looked vaguely familiar and loved her auntie maisie Charlottes daughter

Spent ages messing with the image of the newspaper cutting and settled with the result below, to show a woman looking in her early 20's (here comes the tech bit; heavily vignetted and all sorts of pic' processing to try and remove the print showing through on the opposite page of the paper) Jewish Russian father 'on the left' Child in the middle (my Grandma, right Cuz ;)) Approx Age of this woman please 'on the right'

I'm a bit confused by this thread, but I would just like to say that I think the two women in the most recent post, have similar facial characteristics - and similar hair, neck, shoulders, eye spacing ...

The child in the middle of previous pic with the 3, taken @ younger age. Makes this more confusing IMO as it's not a good picture.
Plus having a Cuz who is digitally illiterate and prefers to use the landline ::), is hard going

I think it's too difficult to compare the last two. :-\
Although the photo is poor, I can see that the young girl on the left would have grown into the older woman in the middle of the last series of photos.
I think the mouth of the person in these photos may be wider and lips fuller than the woman in the original newspaper image, but she may have been pursing her lips, and if you are only looking for a family resemblance, there is not going to be a perfect match anyway.

The image (of the woman on the right) is from a folder on my computer containing a lot of the same image with different amounts of manipulation applied (sorry, looks like it may be 1 of these). I settled for the 1 that looks most attractive - at least to me anyways!! creepy. Not sure, what Brigid my cuz want's exactly ( apart from some computer help)?

handy pandy ...as i told you i loved the pic
it is soft and also have told ben off for his wording ...(he is not used to social contact so comes across as rude and I hadnt realised that \\\\\\i'd put pressure on him and he felt he had to do it all immediately
\i am recoveting from bad reaction to eyedrops
so should not really belooking at screens for another day

Handy Andy i really love your picture and wanted to ask you if i can copy it and put it in a frame for my mother's birthday ...It's looking more and more like this is the right Lottie Roberts ...And maybe DNA will throw up connections with her other children mums cousins
Ps yes the old lady in the middle of the 3 pics and the lady in bathing suit is the child of George Jacob Fellman aged 40 on his alien registration photo and Maisie Jones aged about 26 with her husband and in the bathing costume
They met when they were 24 and i think he got the Brownie box camera soon after

Although I haven't proved or disproved this lady as being our great grandmother And her legitimate grandson doesn't have a photo of her I'm going to use handy s softened version of the "horrid" newspaper photo My aunt who resembled her has since passed away so I can add her photo .
