Title: immigration to US records
Post by: retire on Thursday 27 October 16 18:08 BST (UK)
I have some manifest numbers for immigrants to the US in 1850  Does anyone know what info that manifest would give me and where I go to find that info Thanks, Roberta

The earlier passenger lists sometimes give very little information to positively identify someone.  If you can give us a name, birth year then we can check for you.

Passenger list will probably just give name, age, occupation and country of origin.

Castle Garden (for New York arrivals)-
Ellen Bennett (age 17) in 1850-

another Ellen Bennett (age 35) on same voyage-

You can see others of similar age by using the search box-
