Hi.
I'm really confused
Up to Today we had at the top of the Edgar Tree.
James Edgar b 1761 m Helen Campbell
Children James 1809-1902
John 1811-1881
Helen 1811- 1882 Birkshawhead /KF 20 Sept 1811 Bap
Robert 1813 -1888
1841 Census shows James Edgar in Kirkpatrick Flemming, Brownknowe
Seen this today Inscription at Dornock........
"Here lyes John Edgar of Blackyett who died 5th Sept 1751 age94
Here lyes Agnes Bell spouse of John Edgar of Robgil who departed this life 31 Aug 1749 aged 78
Also Ellen Campbell spouse to James Edgar who died at Browknow April 19th 1811 age 70"
Given Helen is Ellen she cant be the mother of Robert....or the others at 65!!!!!
Browknow & Blackyett are in Kirkpatrick Fleming
Robgil in Dornock.......Help!!!

I have the Death Cert for Robert Edgar March 31st 1888 on it the age is given as 75 yrs. Father James Edgar Master Tailor, Mother Ellen Edgar formerly Campbell. Informant Mary Ann Moor daughter
Ellen Edgar (Campbell) was buried in Dornock 1811 yikes
Any ideas?

According to family members, none of the Edgars from Kirkpatrick Fleming are buried in Dornock.

There is a monument in KF with some covenantors on it apparently. But I'm not sure what denomination our Edgar's were. Glen Cairn was the name of our ggm house in Wrekenton. As to why we have no ides as Glen Cairn is in Moniavie.

I have found a headstone in KF that has Helen Edgar who married Andrew Blake. I will need to revisit it as the photo I took is not to clear. Helens Brother James is my ggg grandfather.

My wife's ggggf Was Robert 1813-1888 his brother.
