Title: Aaon Broadhouse/Broadhurst - Priors Lee
Post by: casram on Saturday 05 November 16 16:25 GMT (UK)
Please does anyone have access to the Priors Lee parish records and could look up the baptism of Aaron Broadhouse or Broadhurst in 1884. He was born and died 1884 and I am trying to find his parents.

thank you

Carolyn

You can now search the GRO website for births prior to 1911 and they give mothers maiden names  ;D

Thanks Rosie, so he's really a Broadhurst not a Broadhouse.

Just traced the family back through the census returns - looks like they couldn't decide if they were Broadhurst or Broadhouse.

I think they do these name changes to confuse us  :)  It is probably just the way it sounded when they spoke their name.

My lot certainly do - you would not believe the number of ways they have found to spell Broadhouse
