Edward's parents were Owen Clarke and Rose Brady. He was born on the 1st January 1892 at Corradooa in Killinkere Co Cavan.
I have found him on the Ellis Island website travelling to New York in 1910 aboard the New York age 18yrs.
I am struggling to find out what happened to him. Have used the family search website.
Possible other relevant info. He had a brother Robert, married to a Mary, in San Francisco, California and another brother Owen, married to a Matilda (Tilly), in New York. In 1912 a cousin Owen Roe ( Rowe ) travelled to NY on the California stating he was going to see his cousin Edward Clarke, address is hard to read _15 E_4 St NY.

Possibly the address is 215 E74 Street?
You may already know this, but Ellen Roe also sailed on the same ship. She was age 29, single, Nurse, final destination: New York, NY. Mother: Mary Roe, Carrygorman?, Bailieboro. Ellen was returning to New York, Bloomingdale Hospital, NY.
The passenger listed under Ellen's name, Mary Lynch, also a nurse, was also returning to the hospital. Mary's possibly brother, Michael, sailed as well. (Their father was Michael Lynch.)
Thomas Millar was going to his Pittsburg, PA to his cousin, James Lynch. All of the names mentioned were written on the passenger list as Owen Roe (#10), Peter Lynch (#11), Thomas Millar (#12), Ellen Roe (#13), Mary Lynch (#14) - possibly travelling together?
I've not yet found Edward; perhaps there may be clues with these folks? :-\

There were remarks about "organizations". "Reserve Motor Car Co Ft. Jay NY to June 9/17", etc.

The above Edward R. Clarke passed away August 7, 1954. Buried: Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.

Thank you to all of you. I have not been able to find a birth for an Edward Robert Clarke in Cavan. It could be possible that they are the same person but I will need to do further investigation about the family and other people mentioned. His middle name is interesting as Robert is used through out the generations of the Clarke family.
