Thoms Annetts was born in 1842 in Chilton, Berks son of John Annetts and Sarah nee Wallis. He married Elizabeth Clifford in 1865. In 1871 and 1881 he is a police officer in Speen then in Lambourn. But I can't find him in 1891 and 1901. I have found a newspaper report of him giving evidence at a trial in 1884, referred to as P C Annetts stationed in Lambourn.
In 1911 there is a Thomas Annetts (widower) who matches in Newbury workhouse but he is formerly a domestic butler. So did my Thomas leave the police and become a butler in 1891 and / or 1901?
Any help greatly appreciated.

Thank you both, that looks like the right Thomas, can't see how I missed him! It confirms the one I've found in 1911 is the eright one
His wife was born at South Moreton, but it's not that far from Crowmarsh (her pob as on 1901 census). I wonder why he changed from a Police constable to a servant - looks like it was sometime between 1886 and 1891.
