Hi,
The 1911 census has Eliza (now married to Charles) living with her parents and young son, Charles Jnr in Cullentry (Rathmolyon, Meath) Charles Snr was in the 5 Dragoons and is not on the census. Looking for info on their marriage and birth of their second son Thomas?
Regards
IanC

Link to census page (http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/reels/nai003092314/)
Most likely birth of Charles = LINK (https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/details-civil/4877860651250)
How long after Charles was Thomas born as his birth record may not be available on line if after c1916

This link (http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Kildare/Kildare/Curragh_Military_Camp/567988/) is to the 1911 census for the 5th Dragoons stationed at the Curragh Camp and there are a few people with the initials CL
I haven't gone down through the pages to locate any of them
The address on Charles Jnr's birth for his father was Curragh, Kildare which is why I searched here

Found a reference for a likely LODGE birth
Thomas LODGE 1916 Trim Co. Meath Q2 Apr-Jun V2 P841
The mother's last name is not given but the location is the same as that of Charles
This is not shown on www.irishgeneaogy.ie unfortunately
You can order the cert from the GRO for full details

I found Thomas born 1916 on a paid site that includes 1916 - irishgenealogy does not

The indexes to Births over 100 years old are only online.... 1916 will possibly be put up in 2017

The marriage dosent seem to be registered so i had a look on a military site and unfortunately not knowing his age or date/place of birth its a minefield with a return of 155 men named Charles Lodge.
I am sure their marriage would be documented in his service record but as i say there are too many to look at without proper details.

Taking a round about look at this
Rose MOORE died on Mar 08 1927 - LINK (https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1927/04982/4358322.pdf) see entry 434 at the bottom of the page
The informant was her daughter Elizabeth QUINN
I searched for a marraige and found - LINK (https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1919/09685/5512922.pdf)
Elizabeth LODGE otherwise MOORE married Michael QUINN on Sept 3rd 1919
There is a possibility that this church may have noted details of Eliza's first marriage and the death of her first husband.
Believing that the civil record I found for Thomas LODGE in Trim in Q2 1916 is correct would imply that Eliza's first husband Charles LODGE Snr died between mid 1915 and sometime 1919

there are a few here but no next of kin

This is a good possibility dathai
http://www.cwgc.org/find-war-dead/casualty/287324/LODGE,%20C
although his effects records shows his name as Charlie and that his things went to his father and doesn't mention a wife
Thomas's birth may have been registered late
-
yes i jumped when i saw that one but the date 1914 and Thomas being born 1916 put me off

Hi Folks
Firstly, thanks to all of you for the effort you have put into this, I too jumped when I saw the CWGC entry for the Charles Lodge that died 01.09.14, but as said, his effects went to his father. I am seeing if I can get any further nfo on the family.
Thanks again.
