Hi Scouseboy

The Burma Star Association seems to be in terminal decline as its membership reduces.  Or is it still going for queries like this?

If the OP needs help and puts all the details he/she has we might be able to start.

Yes, I do.  :) My father in law.

Do you know what dates Grandad and Uncle John were in Burma?
Do you have their service records?

My father-in-law fought with the 14th at Kohima and the advance into Burma. He was with an Indian Army regiment and his military record was held at the British Library, not in British Army records

ALL of the troops at Kohima were in the 14th Army. there were about 6 Indian regiments included in a total of about 22,000

The Burma Star assoc will only be able to give you his regiment and when he joined. you should try the Kohima Museum in York. The curator there is a great guy and very helpful....oh...wait a minute...that's ME!
