Seeking assistance to decipher parts of a death certificate.
I have managed to get most, but am stuck with regards to part of the age of Jemima Catt. I can read the 65, but cannot work out what is above it.
I simply cannot make out what the two words are for the cause of death are. I THINK that the first one could be Consumption, but have no idea whatsoever about the second word.
For the informant, I think I have The Maid? Of Elizabeth ??? ?????????????, but simply cannot make out just what is written there.
Any assistance would be very gratefully accepted.

Age: word above is years
Cause:
Consumption
Not certified
Informant:
+ the mark of
Elizabeth [possibly Elyabeth] [?]
present at the
Death
[? - not sure of place but probably same as in column 2]
ADDED:
At this resolution the surname of the informant is close to impossible. My guess only - perhaps Stephen or Stephens?
-
The forname of informant is Elizabeth (what looks like a tail for a 'y' is from the word below which is 'Present'
Knowing the County would help with placename.

Annie, Thank you very much for that information. The county is Sussex, and the registry is Ticehurst.
I am aware that the resolution is not good, but I do not have the original, only a copy.
Again many thanks for your help, and good eyes.

Might the place of death be Salehurst?
-
Thank you for that panda.
All the children were baptised in Salehurst, so it should be obvious, but I was so tangled in sorting out the other parts, I did not think of that.....doh :-[ :-[
Again many thanks

I think the informant's name could be Elizabeth Catt, followed by the initials of the person who witnessed her making her mark.
-
Jemina Catt was Jemina Smith bpt. 1787-5-13, my 3rd great grand-aunt, dau. of William Smith & Sarah Baker. According to the Salehurst P.R. she was 63 yrs. old at her death, buried Nov. 7, 1850, living on Cackle Street.

Legacy.
Thank you for that information. It adds a little more to the person, which I did not have before.
Again, many thanks.
