Title: Thornhill Burials 1880
Post by: moo on Tuesday 15 November 16 16:27 GMT (UK)
Good Evening

I am looking for the burial / MI / Grave location for Jane Swift who died 22nd August 1880, and was buried in the parish of Thornhill 26th August 1880. Jane is the wife of John Swift.

Thank you in advance
Regards
Moo

For starters, you have a burial date - 26 August 1880 (I think the burial register says 25 August 1880  :-\) and the venue is St Michael and All Angels, Thornhill.  So I assume you are really looking to see whether there is a headstone  :)

The church itself should have the burial register, and therefore know the location of the grave, and Wakefield Family History Society may or may not have transcribed the MIs.

Added:  it looks like the MIs have been transcribed - £2.50 from Wakefield FHS.

Thank you, I am wondering if there is a Headstone, so far I have not been able to find any when it comes to the surname of Swift.

Fingers crossed

I have a lot of relatives married and buried in this graveyard.
They do have a family history site, and the vicar is very helpful
