Title: COMPLETED - EVASKED in Cootehill in 1922

Hi,
I have a distant relative, Paul Evasked, who was in Cootehill (barracks?) in 1922, listed as a Private - Orderly. It lists his next of kin as his mother, Mary, living in Dundalk and he was Roman Catholic.
I know absolutely zilch about Ireland and its military history and any information that would pad this out, or hints as to where to look, would be gratefully received.

FreeBMD has a potential match, under 'Marriages Dec 1898', Brighton district, volume 2b, page 586, in Joseph Evaskad and Mary Macginnis.

There are a couple of trees online, the usual health warning applies over their accuracy, subject to confirmation, details include:

- Mary MacGinnis' father was called Michael MacGinnis;
- Joseph Evasked's father was called Simon Evasked;
- your connection Paul married Daisy Florence Dandridge in 1935 and died in 1962 in Henley, Oxfordshire.
