I have been unable to locate any confirmation of the date of the death for Louisa.
She was the wife of Cyril Heseltine, a local Councillor.
She lived and died in Norton (now called Norton on Derwent), Malton in North Yorkshire.
She died at 1 Zetland Terrace, Norton on the 9 May but do not know the year.
Any help will be much appreciated.

What sort of era are we taking - do you know the decade, or even the century, where we should be looking! When approx. was she born?
-
They married in 1922 ;D
-
Obit in Yorkshire Post and Leeds Intelligencer 11 May 1954
May 9 - 1 Zetland Terrace Louisa Helen, devoted wife of Cyril Heseltine. Service at Trinity Church, Norton (today) Tuesday 10:45am prior to cremation Lawnswood (private).
Not picking death up on Freebmd tho.

GRO index image on freebmd does not have her listed under Heseltine in June qtr. Freebmd has correctly transcribed the entries shown

Looks like GRO themselves have mistranscribed her surname when entering in their index:
Louisa E Beseltine bc.1884 died June quarter 1954 Buckrose Reg.District

That's the one .... as you say a great find after a spelling error.
Thank you all for helping out.
I have been looking for days and not come up with anything :-)

Yes, he was not single for long :-)

Looks like there was a connection to Leeds: Lawnswood is the main crematorium there, and I can't imagine them travelling all that way from Norton without good reason.

Not sure why at all.
Her father came from Wykeham near Scarborough and she was born there.
In the 1911 Census the family is living in Norton, a few miles away where she later married Cyril Heseltine.

As far as I can make out, the crematoria in York and Scarborough opened in the early 1960s, so if she was passionately in favour of cremation, then in 1954 Leeds might have been the nearest or most convenient option.
Another thought - if she wanted to be buried in a family grave, maybe there was no room left for burials, but there was enough for cremated remains?
