-
Which census does this relate to ?? the 1939 register??
Deaths March qtr 1940
William B Rogerson 62 Liverpool North 8b 772
What year did your gran die?
-
Hi 1961 yes it was the1939 but could not get on to it
-
If Maud is shown as Rogerson on the 1939 register unless you know the childrens names etc you won't be able to find her maiden name
1939 lookups are not permitted on Rootschat so you would need to buy credits to view on FindMyPast to see if the other 2 people are related
-
Ok thanks for that will give it ago Thinking about it looks like he had to family's on the go
-
His probate entry shows his address as 25 Russian Drive Liverpool and he died in Belmont Rd hospital. He did not leave a will as administration was granted to Jane Ann Rogerson - widow
-
Was Jane Ann a second wife? That is not his wife's name on the 1911 entry?
-
yes he married my gran after his wife passed away 1918 before the marriage William was born 1917 with my gran
-
William was born 1917 with my gran
There is another birth on freebmd in 1910 for a William Bell Rogerson which ties in with the 1911 entry. There is no death for that child prior to 1918 so are you saying William Bell Rogerson senior had 2 sons both called William?
-
A son was born in 1910 called William Bell rogerson to his first wife death was 1985
then William davies some times call himself rogerson 1917 My gran maiden name William Bell was his father
-
Ok - First wife Mary died March qtr 1917 - the Rogerson/ Jane A Davies marriage was Sept qtr 1917 Conway as per freebmd
William Bell Rogerson snr had an older brother Roger b 1874 Anglesey who married Mary Alice Williams in Birkenhead 1904 and he died in Anglesey in 1959
An amendment to the 1911 entry for William Bell Rogerson was notified in 2012 by an RM Callingham who may possibly have a connection to the family
-
Thank you for that where did you see RM Callingham name so I can take a look please
-
If you have an Ancestry subscription - Go to the 1911 entry for William and click on "view record"
On next screen underneath the census image click on View/Add Alternative Info
You will see an amendment from me today re his birthyear but if you click on the Callingham surname it enables you to make contact
-
