Post by: ghost rider on Sunday 25 December 16 04:34 GMT (UK)
Michael Cassidy was born about 1794 in Co. Monaghan Ireland.
He married Catherine Kent, date unknown.  All of their children were
born in Ireland and they all Immigrated to the United States.
Catherine Cassidy 1823–1875
James Cassidy 1824–
Bridget Cassidy 1824–1904
Thomas Cassidy 1829–
Mary Cassidy 1832–
Joseph Cassidy 1834–
Michael Cassidy 1838–
John Cassidy 1840–
Michael & Catherine Cassidy farmed in Clinton Co. Iowa until their deaths.
Their first born child Catherine, is my great, great Grandmother.
It has always been my dream to find where my roots in Ireland began!
These people are from my dad's mothers side.
Dad's fathers side may never be found.  We've been at it for over 30 yrs!

All you can do is look through the Church Registers, Parish by Parish, see which ones cover dates you need etc...

There is a basic filter for  Baptisms 1840 et...

http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0316     plus surrounding Parishes on map.

I need at least a marriage license for Michael & Catherine or a birth certificate for one or more of their children to prove which Michael Cassidy is mine.
I haven't been able to find any of those on the internet
including Ancestry.com and Family Search!

Just to clarify civil registration dates-
1864 onwards for all births, all deaths and all marriages
1845-1863 for non-Catholic marriages
