Title: Dyer and Munnelly or Manley
Post by: MurphyK91 on Friday 13 January 17 19:06 GMT (UK)
According to the 1861 Scotland census
Michael 48 Killala county mayo
Catharine 38 "
Patrick 19 "
Bridget 16 "
Elizabeth 10 "
Mary 5 Lanarkshire Glasgow
Sarah 8 months "

Between the birth of Elizabeth and Mary must have been the period in which the Dyer family left Mayo Ireland for Glasgow Scotland.  Catharines maiden name seems have been Munnelly or Manley

I am wondering if anyone may be able to help me trace this family further back or point me in a direction.  Thanks

If they were RC than sadly the Killala parish records start in 1852 so if Elizabeth's age is correct they just missed her.

There doesn't appear to be any earlier parish records
