Does anyone happen to know anything about Jean Aitchison?
She married William Morrison Wyllie in London in 1884, and died at Marine Cottage, Guernsey, on 20 August 1886 aged 38. The death information is from a death announcement in The Times. I know nothing more about her.

She married as Jeannie Aitchison. There are a couple in Scotland 1881 that were born around the same time but you will I think need the marriage certificate to establish her father and his occupation. :-\

Yes. It was just in case anyone happened to know about her before I cough up the cost of several Scottish certificates. And she is only the second wife of a very distant cousin.

Yes, thanks, Rosie, that's exactly the sort of thing I hoped someone would have a note of.
William Morrison Wyllie was indeed first married to Catherine Benham in 1851. She died in France in 1875. She had, to put it mildly, an interesting life, and if I were to believe one online tree she had a daughter born in 1840 who died in 1955. (I suspect sloppy research.)
