Hi there,
I'm looking for a burial record for William Saunders/Sanders.
The death is recorded as 27 FEB 1903 • Broadwigg Farm Cottage, Whithorn, Wigtownshire, Scotland. I'm assuming (?) he may have been buried at a local kirkyard. He was originally from Old Luce, Wigtownshire, Scotland.

Re your search for William Saunders.......a search in Ancestry for "All results for William Saunders" finds a number of records and details for the Saunders family. Scotlands people may hold the burial record.
The librarian at Whithorn has a personal interest in family history and is also the registrar for Whithorn and district, with access to Scotlands people (for a fee). 01988 500406. The library is not open every day...details on D&G gov website.

Scotlands people may hold the burial record.
A bit late but just for future reference.
Scotland's People does not hold burial records. They do have in their library copies of various published gravestone inscriptions, but the contents of these books are not on the SP web site.
There are numerous web sites with Monumental Inscriptions from a variety of sources.
Most graveyards are now looked after by the local council, so that is always the first port of call if you are looking for a burial and have not been able to find an inscription online.
Some local authorities' burial records are available at www.deceasedonline.com.
