Hi could someone please see if there is record of the marriage or Richard Jones and Helena Owen in 1849 Llanfyllin. Ive found it on one register, but not found a record that gives full details i.e. Fathers names etc
Can any one help out?

Hi Tom
The North Wales BMD have it as a Civil marriage - not C of E, so you might have to purchase the marriage cert.

I think he may be my distant uncle Richard Jones who was baptised in 1818 Llanbrymair. His sister ended up in the Llanfyllin area which is what made me think this Richard may be mine.
I guess my only option is to get the marriage cert to see if Richard is the son of Richard.
Thanks for the help,
Tom

Hi Tom
I looked through the llanbrynmair BTs this morning and I'm sure I saw a Richard bpt 1820. I'll check again when I get a moment.
Also, there is a baptism for a Richard in July 1818, son of Maurice and Mary.

Not found it yet but in my various bits and pieces on Montgomeryshire, I've found a reference to a Richard b.c. 1768, Llanbrynmair - the son of the John one, previously discussed in other thread.
John Jones (bc 1735-1745, son of Richard Jones and Margaret of Pennant) and Anne (Bebb). Their children named as Anne, Morris, Richard (1768), Margaret, John, Elizabeth & William. They are all
named in the will of a Margaret Jones (John Jones's mother and thus Richard's grandmother) Gwernyfrydd, Llanbrynmair, dated 20 Oct 1785 (probate 1793)
