I would look at it if it was in any other format than pdf. so I could manipulate it for better reading which I can't do with pdf.

Agree Hallmark but I'm surprised there's no mention of relationship of the informant?

Why should there be?  She might be a midwife....

Hi CC,
Pretty sure it's Margaret Mitchell, but no idea of residence.

Good luck,

Terry

Well I couldn't find her on the 1911 census as a midwife.  However, thank you for the name.

She not not be an official midwife, just a women other women trusted to help, it can be worth looking at pagers before and after in the register to see if she turns up again.

No joy, looked at a good few pages each side but she didn't show up again.

Thanks Sinann I hadn't thought about doing that before.  I have quite a few Names that I have found to be midwifes on the nearest census to the birth.  However, I still have a few more that I can now check by looking at the other pages. It's not really necessary to know who these people are but it is a nice addition to the story.

Thanks S.  CC

Lucky you, I still miss my little darling so much, we had a lot of fun over the years.

I think she must have been an official midwife or nurse as when I looked up the word underneath, presculation, it refers to a limp baby with a low apgar score.

???
It says Present at birth under Margaret's name. Same as several others on the page.

I don't see the word presculation. Just present at birth. Are we looking at the same record?  I didn't know this word either very interesting word I will have to watch for it in other records. Thank you for looking it up Pet50ite.

OK so how do you get to the other pages?  I am assuming we are talking about the records on the new Irish genealogy site.  I can't see a forward or back arrow anywhere on the page.

It's a bit tricker than that.
When you have a page of the register open, look at it's web address, it will end in a load of numbers by changing the end of the number you can move up and down through the pages.
I'll just find one one in question and show you in case that isn't clear.

Timothy's page
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1907/01688/1670738.pdf
ends in 38
Change the 8 to 9 making sure not to lose the .pdf hit enter and the next page should load
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1907/01688/1670739.pdf
Not easy on touch devices, you really need to use a PC.
This will only work for some many pages as the early numbers in the address' change as you move from one Reg district to the next but think I got a good bit into the 40s with this set.

This works on lots of .pdf image results, I use it a good bit on the Applotment books on the National Archives site.

Oops. I should have learned by now that it is never a good idea to read or reply to anything when I have one foot out the door, on my way to work and still half asleep ;D Still, I did learn a new word that might come in handy in the future

We all do that, and never learn.
New word for me too.

I'm a bit stumped by that question. I'm out of my comfort zone now.
If your opening it from the IrishGenealogy website, which in turn opens it in Adobe, I think you should be alright.

What a relief to have a name on our disorder, is there a support group?

Yes it's you, me and Pet50ite.  Maybe we should start a thread and see how many respond LOL.

I'll let you know how I get on opening those pages.

I don't think even a support group could help me, I'm too far gone ;D ;D ;D I've just put presculation into google again and the item I'd quickly glanced (mentioning limp newborns babies)  doesn't seem to be there.

Don't worry we won't give up on you we're all in it together. I just googled the word myself. Third item down.

Annie

No relationship required. Her qualification was that she was "present at birth", which is stated.
