Title: Evan Llewelyn Evans
Post by: Tay74 on Saturday 04 March 17 16:07 GMT (UK)
Really interested to know any info about my Gran Mary Elizabeth Evans born 1921, Carmarthen and her father Evan Llewelyn Evans. His first wife Florence May Evans died in child birth in around 1928 and he went on to marry his second wife Annie Veasey I believe in 1929. Any info to expand my search would be really appreciated.

Hi

Welcome to rootschat

One of Evan's marriage certificates should give information on his father.  Have you found him on the 1939 register or do you have his death to give an idea as to when he was born.

Marriages Dec qtr 1928
EVANS    Evan L   spouse VEASEY
Veasey    Annie M

Just about to post details and saw Rosie99's post. Thought the address was Noêlle camp?

Witnesses were David John Thomas and Esther Jane Rees

Thought the address was Noêlle camp?

It certainly looks like that  ;D

North Camp is in Aldershot/Farnborough  ( I used to live nearby )

Thanks for clarifying.
Had a look at the burial registers for St. David's, Carmarthen (Florence married there) but not recorded/listed (died 2nd Qtr 1828).

Interestingly, a Hannah Evans, age 74, 3 Sawmills Terrace was buried 9 Jun 1928 (although plenty of Evans in Carmarthen!)
