Hi there,
I am here to find my moms long lost half sister who we believe is still alive but may be very old if she is so in a rush.
I've tried to do this task for my mom a few times but never get anywhere .
I would love any help or advice. We hope it's not too late. My mom was 12 when she found out about her half sister and has wanted to find her but we just don't know how to do it . My mom is now 70 we thinknher sister would be around 80+ I have tonnes of details but I just haven't a clue how to do this .

Hello and welcome to Rootschat.
I'm afraid that the biggest problem is that you think she is still alive and Rootschat has a strict no living person rule.
Firstly what country are we looking in, that might help people to give you some advice?

Hi "Janie"
WELCOME ! to Rootschat
You will have to communicate "offline" [ not place details on public Rootschat ] AND you will also need to open up the personal message ( pm ] so we all can talk via private message.
So, make a summary of all the detail that you have.
You can then copy into message(s) to "us" [ those who wish to help ]
So, make a post in this thread and say "ok, thanks"
So, make another post in this thread and say "done"
We can then talk to you and, more importantly, you can talk to us.
Cheers
Ray

Your PMs are working now - I've sent you a message.

May have found her birth and marriage - if it is her she will now be about 83. I need to see if I can find a death.

Just an update for anyone reading this.
Between us, I think Ray and I have found the half sister and if the right one, she is still alive. We may also have found a son, so Janie can follow it up.
