Title: KNOCKHOLT registers. Packman family
Post by: ukmusic on Tuesday 14 March 17 12:00 GMT (UK)
Does anyone have access to the Knockholt, Kent parish registers please? I need two events checking out for accuracy.

1/ The baptism of Henry PACKMAN, 26 Nov 1758. Parents Thomas and Elizabeth.
2/ The marriage of Henry PACKMAN and Mary FRYER, 9 Apr 1787 or 4 Sep 1787.

Thank you so much. :)

Baptism of "Hennery son of Tho'as Packman" doesn't mention a mother but Samuel Packman baptised in 1754 was the son of Thomas & Elizabeth

Banns were read on 25 March 1787 and 1 April

Marriage was on April 9 1787 carried out by Thos Browne, Curate

Both were of this parish and left their mark rather than signed

Witnesses were

Thos Packman, Thos Hayes and Willm Wells

I have the images if you want to send me your email by Private Message

I was mainly looking at burials and there was plenty of Packman activity on that front between 1754 and 1781 if you're interested in details

Hello,

I know this is a long shot, but my 4th great grandfather was Henry Packman (1758-1847). My mother's biological father was a Joe Packman from Iowa, USA. Henry's son Robert John Packman(1799-1864) is the next in line. Robert's son, Henry moved to Iowa with his family.

I am very curious to find out more about the Packman name.
