Good afternoon,
Does anybody know how to obtain death and/or burial records for 1913, in Rome?
Mary Jane CRUMP nee IRWIN died in Rome, in May 1913.
Thanks for your help,
Glen :)

You can try here:

If she was a British citizen her death may have been recorded by the consulate.

Thank you.
I've asked the GRO to do a search of the Consulate/High Commission death records.

Good morning All :)
I was unable to find anything online and the Consulate were unable to help me.
Is anyone aware of any other records online? Or know of any local researchers that I could contact?
Thanks!
Glen

- I see a reference to her death here, but do you know the origin of this?
I think she is in the Rome records, I didn't have time the last I posted, but I do today, so tracked her down in the indexes for 1913:

Crump, Jane di Irwin
REgister 2, number 330?
The "2" appears to refer to "Serie 2":

- listed as 2? years old, housewife
- born Queenstown, Ireland, daughter of Guglielmo (William), and Minnie Conroy, wife of Gugleilmo Crump
Interestingly it seems to suggest that her parents were both resident in Rome at the time - a mistake, or was she travelling with them?

Thank you so much for those links!! Very much appreciated!
I don't know if her parents were in Italy. I wouldn't have expected them to be. Her father died in Ireland in 1941, but interestingly I'm unable to find her mother's death record, so could be worth checking Italy!
Thanks so much,
Glen :) :)

Does anyone have experience of locating a burial record in Rome? ???

Sorry to butt in here, but I also need to know this information. I emailed the Verano Cemetery in Rome where I think my relative might have been buried but 2 weeks later no reply. I might have to pluck up the courage to actually phone them to ask, although I don't speak any Italian, just hope someone there speaks English!

Hello All,
I've re-read the Civil Death record, but I don't believe it gives the Cemetery details. Is anyone aware of how to locate a burial in Rome?
Thanks for your help,
Glen
