looking for information regarding my great grandfather George henry hodgson,
b: c1869 d: c 1931 in Canada I believe ?
his daughter Elizabeth was my grandmother b:1893 d:1959 in Carlisle,cumberland,england.
she married james Atkinson in September 1914 in silloth, Cumberland.

If it is not yours, it would be worth your checking it. It shows a Canadian family too.

There is a Canadian death in 1931 with wife Marion M Hodgson - parents Hodgson & Sinclair but that has his middle name as Nelson :-\

What was George Hodgson's occupation and who were the witnesses to the wedding.
The only 1931 Canada death that I located with wife Marion was George Nelson Hodgson so possibly not your relation

It doesn't look as if the George death date of 1931 in Canada was the correct one - the most likely death registration in the UK for George would be Wigton 1941 - as shown reply 22 and reply 24 - Betty Hodgson 1953 Wigton. Both appear on the free 1939 index.
