Hi I've got a photocopy of the hand written burial register for the page in question showing my Great-Grandfather John Hayes (Coed Talon) was buried on 18th November, 1915 age 69.
I found a record on North Wales BMD HAW/09A/58 and a record on Ancestry (England & Wales Civil Registration Death Index 1837-1915 Q4) stating District: Hawarden, Volume: 11 b and Page 309.
However, I have contacted Pontblyddyn Church and they have no record of the burial!
The letters NG are handwritten to the left of the entry. What does this mean? No gravestone maybe?? ???
Anyway, gravestone or not, if there is no record at Pontblyddyn Church is anyone aware of any other burial sites in the area?
All help appreciated, thanks

Thanks Claire. Interesting! The fact that New Ground is the favourite suggests there may be a gravestone :) The questionis ...where? ???

A warm welcome to Rootschat.
Welsh newspapers online
Baner ac Amserau Cymru 27 Nov 1915
"Cymerodd angladd y ddau ymadawig le yn nghladdfa Pontblyddyn, Dydd Iau, 18fed cyfisol"
"The funeral of the two departed took place in Pontblyddyn cemetery/graveyard/burial ground Tuesday, the 18th inst".
The pair referred to are William Jones, Liverpool and John Hayes, Coed Talon
Another newspaper article refers to "Mynwent Pont Bleddyn" - again "cemetery/burial ground/graveyard".

Hi hanes teulu, welsh newspapers online is a new angle to me altogether! I will find this source very useful in my searches :)
I see you cut and pasted an extract from the article but I would like to cut and paste all the article inorder to fully translate. Is there a trick to doing this you could advise me? ???
The burial record you quote is the one I have a photocopy of (NG on the left of the record).
Many thanks for your assistance/reply
