Frances Devoy born 25 Nov 1899, where ever, married William E Dyer born 1888 Andover
This couple married Andover 1920
Unable to find an accurate birth for her anywhere. Obvious Irish surname
She appears 1939 with husband in Uckfield Sussex,where they have I believe a cottage going with husbands job as Chauffeur/Gardener [he has past military history
]
Person also listed Elizabeth M Devoy illegible birth info 1908/9. a waitress.Possible later marriage Lancashire.
She could be a daughter of another sibling.
Irish 1901/11 throws up Dublin City or Rathmore Kildare as possible R/C families for Frances only christian name found so far.

Closest birth I'm seeing at moment was a Fanny Devoy, born Dublin area 1/1/1900 to a Patrick Devoy and Ann Jordan. The father was a gardener.

Or, a Frances Devoy, born South Dublin area, 6th May 1889, to a John Devoy and Julia Kinahaw (sp?). The father was a coachman.

An approx 1899 born (so possibly the 1900 birth) Frances Devoy died in Dublin in 1922. She is noted as daughter of a gardener and an Annie Devoy of same address was present at death, so matching with the 1900 birth.

There was an Elizabeth Mary Devoy born Dublin area on 22/2/1908 to a Joseph Devoy (his father a Michael) and Margaret Cosgrove.

Although shown as male at birth, Frances is shown as female on a baptismal record on Nov 28 1894 and census records

As stated also living at the same address as William E DYER and Francis was an
Elizabeth M DEVOY DoB 04 Dec 1909
On the 1911 census for the DEVOY family, there is a child named Lily aged 6

The records, although there is a piece of discoloured tape across the area is clearly 09 for year of birth for Elizabeth M DEVOY; however, if you look closely at the DoB for Frances DYER it could well be 94 rather than 99, regardless interesting to find siblings with the month and day correct for each!

My luck believe you have found the answer,thank you.
The yellow tape plastered across the 1939 record coupled with difficult writing etc hid the truth.
Therefore,John Devoy and Mary Ann Golding are parents of both Frances and Elizabeth M living in Uckfield Sussex 1939.
Frances Devoys husband William Ernest Dyer born Broughton Hampshire is the youngest son of Harry Dyer 1852-1938 and Elizabeth Ann Akhurst 1848-1916 born [Bapton]Wilton Wiltshire.
Will need to fork out for certificates now,many thanks Brionne.

A lot to delve into now.Its quite amazing how new stuff keeps on appearing.Currently following my prolific Dyers to 1939 at least,to give a broader overall picture.
