Hello,
I wonder whether some kind person is possibly going to worcester records office and could possibly look up for information on a relative of mine who died in 1967 at barnsley hall hospital Bromsgrove..
I understand the admission and discharge papers are archived at worcester..
any help would be much appreciated..

Someone will correct me if I am wrong but I thought hospital records were not able to be viewed for 100 years? (or that may be asylum records :-\)
This seems to refer to more recent events:
http://www.nhs.uk/chq/Pages/access-to-medical-or-health-records-of-someone-who-has-died.aspx
but some googling will probably tell you if this also applies to someone who died in 1967.

This is sadly a mental hospital. I have already checked on the records office website what is available..

I'm surprised such recent records are available, as I'm sure I've read about others trying to access asylum records without success.
Have you contacted the RO to ask if they can copy the records for you?

It clearly says on Worcester archives site that these records are closed for 100 years from the date of the last entry.
