Hello. Looking for date and place of death for Letitia. She was born in 1881 in Pembrokeshire and her father was George. She was a nurse during ww1 and served with the Scottish Women's Hospitals in France in 1915. Looks like a large family with many of them migrating to Canada. Would really appreciate any help.

Did she marry? If so - what was her married name as any death will be under that surname
Freebmd has a lot of Letitia Bowen marriages so not an uncommon name

There is a death for a Letitia Jones birth date 15/3/1881 died Dec 1973 Pembroke might not be her but going by the record on her nursing record same birth date
There is a marriage for a Letitia Bowen 1914 to a Isaac Jones Pontardawe Glamorgan

That's an equally good find JJ.
So it appears Tom signed up at Shorncliffe and then died there too, how very sad and only just married too.
Shorncliffe was used as a staging post for troops destined for the Western Front during WW1 and in April 1915 a Canadian Training Division was formed there. Perhaps this was where Tom & Letitia met?

Great find Ellenmai :) :)

Ellenmai, that's most impressive. I did find that she had visited Canada in 1914, so perhaps they met that way. Would love to know now what became of her.
Jjen, an excellent piece of information.

Possible 2nd marriage for Letitia in Bridgend, Glamorganshire 1923 3Q , Letitia B Evans to Philip J Jones. If this is your Latitia's marriage then perhaps the death Rosie found in December 1973 Pembrokeshire was the right one, the DOB matches her nursing record.

Could be possible but there is also a Letitia Beatrice Evans b 1898 Glamorgan so might be her ???
-
That's a blow Rosie I thought we had cracked it between us :-\. There seems to be an awful lot of Letitia's in that area, I thought initially it was going to be an easy name to research ???

Still leaning towards that death for Letitia in 1973 not seeing any matches for her in Canada ???
